Tralee-Westlake Art Exhibition

 

The outgoing Mayor of Tralee Cllr. Gillian Wharton-Slattery officially opened the Tralee-Westlake Art Exhibition at Siamsa Tíre Arts Centre as part of the sister city art exchange between Tralee and Westlake, Ohio, USA on June 17. Westlake is currently celebrating the bicenntenial of its foundation and the art exchange was proposed by Marge Widmar to Mayor Dennis Clough as one of its commemorative activities. Marge and her husband Bob travelled to Tralee especially for the opening. The exhibition features student art from Montessori through to leaving cert from Tralee schools and from kindergarten to 12th grade in Westlake. The Tralee co-ordinator is Cllr. Grace O'Donnell. The exhibition will be on view in Siamsa Tíre, Tralee until mid July and in Westlake City Hall from September 19th to October 1st
