Contractors Sought for River Lee Walk  


 

Tralee Town Council will shortly invite tenders for the construction of the proposed riverside walk and cycle way along the River Lee from Ballyard to
Ballymullen which will eventually extend to Ballyseedy Wood. The works comprise concrete paved sections; tarmac paved sections; raised walkway; and associated fencing and ductwork along the River Lee floodplain which is of considerable ecological interest.

Contractors who wish to be considered for inclusion on the approved tender list are invited to complete and submit a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (which may be downloaded below) to the Town Clerk, Tralee Town Council, Town Hall, Princes Quay, Tralee, Co. Kerry. A minimum of five candidates will be invited to tender provided there are a sufficient number of suitable candidates. The Riverside Walk and Cycle Way from Ballyard to Ballyseedy Wood are key objectives of Tralee Town Council and Kerry County Council. The current phase of the project, from Ballyard to Ballymullen, is supported by Fáilte Ireland under the Tourism Infrastructure Fund of the National Development Plan, 2007-2013.
