Tralee
Mentoring Project

Make a Difference
– Become a Mentor!
The Volunteer Community Mentoring
Project in Tralee is looking to recruit volunteer mentors from
the wider community to support and mentor secondary school
students. Mentoring is a great way to make a difference to a
young person in your community.
By spending time with a secondary
school student in need of some guidance, you can help impact on
their lives for the future. Mentoring can help a young person
realise that doors can be opened, to see that opportunities are
not just for others and show that there is a place for each
young person in our community.
Mentors make a difference because
they help a young person by:
- offering them support
- encouraging them
- developing their confidence and self esteem
- listening openly to what they have to say.
Training will be provided for
mentors.
