Volunteer Day Event at Rath Óraigh Estate.
Give It A Swirl Day (GIASD) was marked with enthusiasm in
Tralee on Friday September 26th with volunteers from
Tralee Volunteer Centre joining residents of Rath Óraigh to
landscape the entrance to the new estate at Manor East. Kerry
County Council provided a JCB and Tralee Town Council the
plants. Horticulturist Peter Keane supervised the operation with
support from the FAS CE team, Breanainn Employment Service and
Tidy Tralee. The project was a long term Tidy Towns objective
but would have taken a lot longer were it not for Give It a
Swirl Day according to Cllr. Johnny Wall, Chairman, Towards a
Better Tralee.
