Tralee Hosts German Market
Tralee’s partners from Frankfurt are back in Tralee this weekend for the
German-style Christmas Market in The Square. The group of volunteers from the
Vereingsring Höchst have five stalls in The Square where they are selling
Christmas decorations, cutlery as well as speciality German food, , Bratwurst
(sausage), and Landbrot (farm bread) and beverages including the famous glühwein
(mulled wine) and non-alcoholic glögg (fruit drink). The group
were welcomed to Tralee on Friday afternoon by the Deputy Mayor Cllr. Gillian
Wharton Slattery. They were guests of Holiday Tralee in the Brogue Inn on Friday
night and attended the greyhound racing in the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on
Saturday night. The market will continue in The Square until Monday.
