Siamsa Tíre - Irish National Folk Theatre ...

Siamsa TireTralee is the headquarters of Siamsa Tire (Ireland’s National Folk Theatre) which continues to attract worldwide critical acclaim for its adaptations of Irish folklore, music and dance. It provides nightly performances during the summer months as well as being a facility for local and touring drama groups and other acts. In association with the Institute of Technology it has recently developed a third level degree course in dance.

Rose of Tralee International Festival ...
Tralee is home to the internationally renowned Rose of Tralee Festival, which is held in the town each August. This attracts large numbers of visitors from home and abroad and the selection of the Rose of Tralee, which is televised live from the town, consistently attracts the largest viewing audience of the year.

The Festival is followed by a six-day race meeting at the Ballybeggan course adjacent to the town. A two day meeting is also held in June each year.

The Arts ...

The town is the headquarters of the Kerry County Library, which acts as a focal point for the promotion of the arts in the county. Samhlaoícht Ciarraí continually promotes the arts and organise an annual week long arts festival during Easter.

Tralee hosts the Annual Pan Celtic Festival which is a celebration of Celtic language and culture, amongst the seven Celtic nations.

KISS - The Kerry International Summer school, a forum of writing and poetry is hosted annually in the town.

And There’s More ...
There are a huge range of after school attractions for children in Tralee with Music, drama and ballet classes being provided at the Kerry School of Music which is headquartered in the town.
