Glowing Tribute for Tralee
Rose Garden

Dermot O’Neill, one of Ireland’s
foremost horticulturists and renowned expert on roses, paid a
glowing tribute to the Tralee Rose Garden in a special report
broadcast on The Mooney Show, RTE Radio 1 on Thursday , June
28th last. Dermot joined Don Nolan of Liscahane Nurseries on a
tour of the Rose Garden in the Town Park. He was full of praise
for Tralee Town Council who developed the garden in the late
1980s and to the park staff including head gardener Brendan
Enright for their attention to detail and high level of
maintenance. He said Tralee Town Park was one of the most
stunning public rose gardens anywhere in Ireland a ‘must see’
for visitors to County Kerry. Tralee Town Council had set an
example for other Irish local authorities.
