The Rose of Tralee, Aoife Kelly, Mayor of Tralee Cllr. Ted Fitzgerald, James
Clifford, President, Tralee Chamber, and Santa officially
launched Tralee's 2008 Christmas Programme with the switching on
of the Tralee festive lights in The Square on Saturday December
6th last.
The recent good weather has
brought thousands of shoppers flocking to the Town Centre and
Manor West Retail Park in the run up to Christmas. The sounds of
carol singing in the Mall and The Square by children from the
local schools can be heard right up to Christmas Eve. Tralee on
Ice at Manor West is attracting large crowds.
Christmas is above all a time for
giving and once again the townspeople are giving generously to
the local and national charities: SVP, Lions Club, Kerry Hospice, Kerry
General Hospital and Concern.
The Mayor and Council wish Tralee people at home and abroad
and our many visitors to the town a Nollaig
Shona; a Very Happy and Peaceful Christmas.
A final word from our Road Safety
Officer, enjoy the Christmas Holiday period but if you drink
don’t drive.
Nollaig Shona dhíbh go léir.
