Thousands Throng to Threshing at Blennerville

Blennerville Windmill hosted its biggest threshing festival yet on Sunday when queues built up along the main Tralee Road to gain access to the festival site.  Good weather and hard work by Mike Curran and his organising committee ensured a massive turnout. As well as the usual favourites like traditional flailing, steam threshing and vintage machinery display, this year's event included a dog show, country market and model engine display. The Paddy O'Shea Memorial Shield was presented to Jack Condon from Abbeydorney  for his contribution to the festival over the years.
