Deputy Mayor Officially Opens Féile na mBláth 2009

The 2009 Féile na mBláth Garden Festival has been officially opened by Cllr. Mairéad Fernane, Deputy Mayor of Tralee (June 19). In her first official function since election, Cllr. Fernane thank all those involved in the organisation of the event including chairman Cllr. Johnnie Wall. She later presented prizes in the Children's Art Competition and launched the Tralee Anti-Gum Litter Project. The festival continues this Saturday and Sunday in Tralee Town Park.

The garden festival is an initiative of Tralee Town Council supported by the Kerry Group, NBA,  Fáilte Ireland South-West and Corporate Friends of the Festival.
